December 2015 Highlights

Owen and I got to visit Emma's class and decorate Christmas cookies with her!
Annual visit to Santa at the Riverfront Carousel! Everyone liked Santa this year!

Owen likes to make trains out of everything!
Emma was having her school Christmas program Friday night but Daddy and Abby were going to be out of town for a swim meet.  After her program Emma, Owen and I went for ice cream!
Owen really enjoyed his!

On Sunday morning the littles and I headed to meet Daddy and Abby in Bend.  I had to conquer a fear and drive and put chains on over the pass.  We made it!

I just love this picture of Abigail!!
There was a lot of snow to play in at our resort in Bend!!!

The girls went ice skating for the first time!  Emma was able to get the kind that had double blades so that made it much nicer.  Abby did a great job on her single blades.
 Heading home!

I must confess that making cookies with kids does not excite me. I guess really I don't make cookies very often anyway.  But this Christmas I really wanted to make cookies and have the kids help me.  We had a fun time!  We made sugar cookies and snickerdoodles.

We go to the Christmas Eve service at Salem Alliance with Grammy.
This year they had a photo booth!

It was a small group at the Dixons' this year but we still had a great time! I believe this is year 34 of going there on Christmas Eve.  (Dave and Jeni and the kids were with Jeni's family as that is when they always celebrate Christmas.)

Merry Christmas! They always get one gift from Santa.

We usually spend the morning with just our family at our house and then later we go to Grammy's house.

We had Dan's family over the day after Christmas for lunch and exchanging gifts.
We had a great time!

 Happy Birthday Jesus!!

Happy Birthday Emma Lou Lou!! I can't believe she is 5 years old now!!
Cards from Grammy and Auntie Lynn and scooter and gum from Mommy and Daddy.
We are doing her birthday party in January.

I have my kids wait until they are 5 to have gum so this is Emma's "gum" birthday.  :)

We started the tradition of going to the zoo on New Year's Eve a few years ago.  It is always cold but we have a great time!  This year we got there early so we had plenty of time to see all the animals before it got dark.
