Decorating for Christmas

It has been fun to see the difference in Abby the past 3 years. Each year she gets into decorating for Christmas a little more. She is way into baby Jesus this year. My mom got an outdoor nativity set off Craigslist this year and there happened to be an extra baby Jesus. He is now one of Abby's dolls and sleeps in the baby bed in her room!! This wooden nativity set is from our close family friends the Dixons. Abby loves it!!

Grammy bought her an advent calendar that she really enjoys as well.

Picking a Christmas Tree!

We headed out the Sunday after Thanksgiving for our Christmas Tree. My brother is nice enough to hook up his trailer and so we can fit all the trees in there with no problem. We had lunch at my mom's and then headed out to get the trees. It had been sunny but started raining on our way to the tree farm. Abby didn't mind as that meant she could use her Dora umbrella. The rain let up and the sun actually came out with a rainbow and everything!
On the hunt for the perfect tree!

We found it!! It is a very beautiful tree!

Daddy cuts it down with the help of Uncle Dave and under the watchful eye of Abby. :)

Grammy finds a perfect tree too!!

Heading down a bit to look for a perfect tree for Uncle Dave.

Driving!! Dave took Abby for a spin around our cul-de-sac.
Of course Doggy wanted to drive too!

Portland Singing Christmas Tree

Dan's Aunt and Uncle purchase tickets for his whole extended family to go see the Singing Christmas Tree at the Keller Auditorium each year. This year I decided that since we had been away from Abby the whole day before for the Duck game I wanted her to go with us. She actually did fairly well. She was a little unsure in this picture. :)
She enjoyed showing off her new Christmas dress!

Oregon Duck Game

I bought Duck tickets as an early Christmas present for Dan. It was raining off and on but not too bad. I got them from my friend's dad who has season tickets so they were there too!
It was great to see Lisa and Jeff as they live in southern Oregon.

Getting pumped up before the game!

Touchdown!! Well, one of many. :)

I couldn't get over how friendly everyone was. After each good play or touchdown you got like 5 high fives from people around you.

I think we picked a good game and a good season! Go Ducks!! We parked about a mile away so we didn't have to pay to park. On the way back to the car I started having contractions and they were about 5 minutes apart for a few hours. When we got home I decided that if I could lay down and go to bed and they went away then I was okay. They went away and I have been just fine since. :)

Thanksgiving

We went to Dan's mom's house for Thanksgiving dinner. Kelly, Amy and Arden and Joel were there too.
Abby loved playing with cousin Arden.

Arden just kind of watched her.

I think Abby is ready to be a big sister!!
I got to hold Arden and she even took a little nap on me!! Emma was kicking a little. :) Abby had a great time with Aunt Amy and Arden.
Uncle Joel and Uncle Kelly were in charge of the deep fried turkey. I guess you were suppose to dry the turkey off before you put it in the oil.

It looks a little crispy but it was very moist on the inside!!

Arden liked pulling Abby's hair and rubbing Dan's head.
Grandma enjoyed being with her grandaughters. Hopefully Bella will come back for another visit in January and we can get all FOUR of her grandaughters together!
Happy 1st Thanksgiving Arden!!

We went to Grammy's for dessert about 5:00pm. Abby loves oranges or orangens as she calls them.
We had our family friend Marsha there, two exchange students from Willamette and my brother's friend Aaron, also join us for Thanksgiving.
Abby loves her Uncle Dave!!
Uncle Tom got put right to work!!

Abby and Daddy relaxed and watched a show.

Time for a Haircut!

I decided it was time to get Abby's hair cut. My friend Mindy cut it last Christmas so it had been about a year. I was having to comb her bangs over to the side and the back was longer and still gave her the mullet look. We went to my hairdresser Colleen.
I bribed her with some Dora snacks and she sat really still.

I think she actually enjoyed it!!

She was able to watch herself in the mirror.
Almost done! Thank you Colleen!!

So cute!!!

She talked about getting her haircut for days after this!!
