Abby was finally old enough to do VBS at our church this year. The theme was Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. I helped with registration which was fun.
Abby had her first friend, Chloe, sleep over. Chloe's aunt and I both teach at Auburn. Chloe came to VBS as well.
Playing dress-up...
Bubble tea party...
Getting ready to watch Cinderella...

Apparently the bananas were not exactly equal! Chloe cracks me up just like her aunty!
Playing Cinderella and guess who was the mean step-mother??
Playing with Daddy!
A girl can never have too many bags or too many dress-up clothes!
My friend Becca came from Washington for a weekend. The girls adore her!
Emma likes to try on shoes!
Building towers at Grammy's house. These are the blocks my brother and I used to play with when we were little.
One afternoon after VBS we were smelling roses at my mom's house and Abby fell right into the rose bush! :( Poor baby. She scratched up both of her forearms pretty bad.
Smiles from Emma Lou Lou!
Abby and Grammy planted some green beans this summer and they are getting an abundant harvest.
Emma tore a tissue into like a hundred pieces (while under Daddy's watch). I made her pick up the pieces and put them in the trash can.
Abby and Emma made some forts. Abby took a nap in hers one afternoon.
Abby decided we should get the potty out for Emma. No pee pee yet but she does enjoy sitting on the potty!
Ballerina Girls!
Playing with Mackenzie and Brooklyn at Grammy's house.
My bath time babies!
All clean and teeth brushed!
My friend, former roommate and current coworker had her baby, Kayla Marie! She was a tiny one and spent a few days in the NICU but is now at home doing well.
Congrats Ricky and Nicole!
Such a little dare devil I have!
When Dan and I went to Germany in 2007 we bought some chocolate "kinder" eggs and saved one for our future child. We only saved one, sorry Emma! I finally remembered to bring it out of the freezer one evening. Abby was all about it and enjoyed every bite. I thought it might be a little stale after 5 years in the freezer but it wasn't bad at all! The cool thing about these eggs and why they are probably meant for kids (hence the kinder) is that they have a little toy inside. It was fun to finally have something I dreamed about years before become a reality!
I touched up Abby's toe nails from when I first painted them on our camping trip.
