Pumpkin Patch

Horse rides!  A few years ago when Abby was 2 she just had to sit there because she wasn't 3.  It must be a different family running it because Emma got to ride around too!  Her helmet was big and kept slipping over her eyes.

Emma's like "What is this?".  They were flowers if you can't tell.  :)

The petting zoo... later they dropped a cracked pumpkin into the cage and the pigs devoured it!

 Hay ride!

Abby loves this slide.  Here she is saying "Just one more time!".

Emma was so determined to get her little head in that hole!

This slide was completely wet!  Luckily this was the last thing we did and so Abby could change her clothes.  We stayed dry and went in the store during a rain storm and came and did this little play area before we headed home.  It was pretty chilly though.

Multnomah Falls

Dan and I have talked about going to Multnomah Falls since we started dating.  When we saw a furlough day ahead and Dan got the evening off from his McMinnville swim team coaching we decided to go for it.  It was a rainy day but it wasn't too bad.

The first half mile was lots of fun...

The last three fourths mile was NOT so fun.  We were dragging 2 crying children up a muddy slippery mountain.  But the view in the end was worth it and they were happy on the way down.  :)

We saw a little newt on the path on the way back.

Happy Birthday Grammy!!

We went to the park and Limeberry on Grammy's actual birthday, October 5th.

Then we had a family party at our house on Sunday, October 7th.  Grammy requested pumpkin pie for her birthday cake.

The girls are really into signing their own birthday cards for family and friends. Sometimes Emma wants to keep the card for herself!

My brother got her a wagon wheel...
 Emma snuggling with Uncle Dave!
My Uncle Tom got my mom a wagon wheel...
I am sure glad I couldn't find her a wagon wheel!!  Actually both of the wheels are different and perfect in their own way.  My mom lives on Wagon Wheel Drive (where my brother and I grew up) and so she has always wanted to get a wagon wheel for the yard.  Now she has two!!
