Grammy's Birthday Part 2

After the pumpkin patch we had cheesecake for Grammy's birthday. Uncle Dave came over too! Abby signed Grammy's card all by herself and helped wrap her Mariners mug and teddy bear. They were souvenirs since Grammy wasn't able to go to the baseball game. Happy Birthday Grammy!!

The Pumpkin Patch

We went to Setniker Farms in Independence. The weather was perfect, very warm for October. We had Grammy and Grandma with us! Abby enjoyed the slides and the "corn"box. She loved being in the wheelbarrow. We climbed the hay pyramid and went through the hay maze. Abby also drove the tractor! Fun times!

Grammy's Birthday

We met at Red Robin on my Mom's birthday as well. Always a good excuse for yummy food! My Uncle Tom and my brother were there too. Abby liked it when the waiters sang to Grammy and to the other birthday people too. She also really went to town on her hamburger! And of course for dessert Grammy shared her ice cream. :)

Weekend at Seaside

A couple weekends ago Dan had a swimming conference in Seaside. Abby and I got to hang out on the beach while he was in the meetings. She thought she would taste the sand but I don't think she was too impressed. I love it that there are swings right on the beach. I hadn't been to Seaside since my senior year in high school I think. I definitely want to go back soon. It was a beautiful day! Abby was completely worn out by the time we were ready to head home.

Time with Daddy

We decided that this was the year for Dan to go back to school for his teaching license. He is home with Abby during the day and I am working full time teaching 5th grade at Auburn. He will still coach the high school swim team this fall and he coaches the swim team at the West Salem Courthouse Athletic Club. Abby has really had fun with Daddy and she likes to have him near her at all times. He will be done in the spring and then will look for a job teaching PE, ideally at West. I will go back to part time and Grammy will babysit as she will retire this year. A crazy year but we will make it through!

Mariners & Yankees Game

My brother, Dan, Abby, and I got Mariners tickets for my mom as an early birthday present. They were playing the Yankees which is Dan's favorite team so it was perfect. Unfortunately my mom had to have a second surgery for an abscess so she couldn't go and my brother stayed home with her. Dan, Abby and I went but it was sad because the Yankees lost big time. :( I guess the sign we were holding worked in Grammy's favor! I made Abby a shirt that said Mariners on one sleeve and Yankees on the other sleeve. :)

More Birthday Fun

We enjoyed a yummy dinner at Red Robin with family and friends on my birthday! Abby was intrigued by Red Robin. :)
