We decided to stop and visit Fort Riley, Kansas where Dan was born. We drove around on base and found the hospital and walked around for a bit. It was very humid but fun for Dan to see a bit of his past. The base was huge and when he described it to his Mom it had definitely grown over the years. It was like its own medium sized town.
