Edinburgh Castle and this amazing park was just down the street from our hotel. Everything was so green! We enjoyed hanging out here and relaxing. We arrived late morning after being awake over 30 hours! It was nice to just get to relax and take it easy since we were so tired!
We had some amazing fish and chips here and there was also a playground for the kids.
You can see Edinburgh Castle from down below but to get there you have a very steep climb on foot so we opted to take a taxi. Unfortunately our hotel thought the last entrance was at 5:30pm but it was actually at 5:00pm! :( We were pretty bummed but the walk down was so beautiful we got over our disappointment.
We stayed in very old 4 star hotels. They were all different and unique. This one had lots of stairs but also an elevator.
Most hotel rooms in Europe don't accommodate more than 4 people so Abby and Ellie stayed with Grammy. My mom took this picture in their room.
Right around the corner from our hotel were all these shops and restaurants. This was actually at 10pm! The kids and Grammy got pizza and Dan and I had Chinese food. They had lights strung up across the buildings. It was pretty magical and one of the many fun memories I will always treasure.
